Pen plotting endears because it is in a way pseudo nostalgic. When simply printing a drawing, the process loses some luster. As there is no actual act of “drawing” anymore. We now create images that are then printed. However, the pen plot appeals because it feels like it could be hand drawn. Similar to how architects in the past only relied on hand drafting.
